“I still want to finish my internship, I don’t want to stop just because I got a job.”
Arpita is the latest Industry Connect intern to launch a new career thanks to what she learned with us.
Having just secured a job as a data analyst, we caught up with her to ask about her experience as an intern with MVP Studio and how it helped.
What did you take away from your time with Industry Connect?
What I would take away from my internship is this; if you start a job, not as an intern, but straight into a job as a data analyst, there are only a few things which you would have to do.
My tasks would just be making SQL queries for example, but working as an intern you get a lot of things to learn, from the start to the end.
I know I don’t have that much experience, but within three months of my training classes and followed by an internship, I had learned so much, covered so many things, and I had more experience than many in lots of different topics.
Working on those areas I know what I need to work on more, and which areas I was more comfortable with. So at least that got me where I’m standing now, as a data analyst, ready to become a BI developer.
I know that I’m capable as a data analyst, but I’m not ready right now as a BI Developer, I need more practice for that.
MVP Studio helped us cover all the aspects, so we know where we stand and going forward we know what we need to do.
As an intern I enjoyed it because if I had’ve got a job, I know I would only be doing 3 or 4 things from the full world of data analyst or a BI Developer. I’m pretty confident I chose the right path becoming an intern.
Would you recommend Industry Connect to everyone?
Definitely yes.
Even when I started my husband wasn’t happy. He wasn’t confident I was joining the course and he wanted me to look for a job. After I spoke to you guys I was sure, but my husband still wasn’t. He told me to take more time to think about it and ask what I was going to get out of it.
I still want to finish my internship, I don’t want to stop just because I got a job. What I will learn there will definitely help me in the near future, maybe in this job, but maybe when I start looking for another job, so I still want to complete my tasks.
