Once again we have a success story for you!
This time it’s Piper who has landed a job as a test analyst after joining Industry Connect.
We caught up with her before she started her new career to ask her about her time with us.
Firstly Piper, congratulations on your new job as a test analyst! Is there anything you would like to share after your journey with Industry Connect?
Firstly you need to learn the technical skills from the teachers in MVP Studio, or you should learn by yourself online and watch some YouTube videos to learn more knowledge in testing area.
Then for the MVP Studio, I think if you can update yourself to level 4 or you can get into the core team, there is a project you can learn from.
We are working in the agile environment, so most companies nowadays want to hire people who have the agile work experience, so that is really helpful for me and for people who want to secure a QA job.
And also learn how to log bugs on JIRA or other management tools.
For junior people, I think they want to see your desire in finding bugs and you are a Tester. Maybe you need to practice your answers with your friends or with the mentors at MVP Studio. Practice in front of the mirror before the interview! That is really important thing for us as Junior QAs.
And of course, English is very important as well, because you need to communicate with the developers or with sometimes with the clients and the Vas, so your English is very important. I’m constantly learning English so well, so I hope my English would be better when I work for them.
Would you recommend Industry Connect to everyone?
Yeah I would like to recommend Industry Connect because they will provide useful tips for freshers and they will provide a real work environment for them so they can get some work experience.
If they don’t have any work experience, nowadays it’s really hard to find a job especially in this special time of Coronavirus.
So I recommend freshers to can study with Industry Connect and learn harder to get to MVP Studio and get to the core team.
I think Industry Connect helped me a lot, especially during sessions. I learned experience from other people, then you analysed the experience from them sharing to us, so I feel it’s good. Awesome in fact!
