“I talked with many people who suggested to me that this was a good platform where you can get experience.”
Anjali is the latest Industry Connect graduate to find a job, this time as a junior test analyst!
Before she started her new career, we caught up with her to ask about her time with us, what were her favourite parts, and if she had any advice for those in a similar situation.
Congratulations on the new job Anjali! Tell us, do you think Industry Connect helped you to become a junior test analyst?
Yeah definitely! It was the training that helped because the first time when I came here, I had applied for many jobs, and I never got a positive response. Every time it was a negative response.
Then I chose Industry Connect after seeing the advertisement on LinkedIn. I then did my research and found that you were really helpful because I talked with many people who suggested to me that this was a good platform where you can get experience.
So after that I joined and I learned many things – not in terms of only technical, but non-technical as well. Things like having conversations with people, indecision, speaking English in the workplace, and the employability system and everything, so yeah, I can say it’s really helped me a lot.
What was your favourite part when doing your internship?
Yeah, actually there is a five day session where we can learn from each other and give a presentation at the end to the public. I’d say that was one. The second one would be the scrum meeting, because even now every company is doing one of those, so doing it at Industry Connect really helped me.
Tech teacher! That’s the third thing. That’s where if you’ve got an issue, you just ask there and anyone can help you in that session, so yeah, that was really good.
Would you recommend Industry Connect to everyone?
Yeah, I would definitely recommend that if someone wants to get into this field or if someone would like to get experience in another field, I would recommend Industry Connect.
If you don’t know anything then Industry Connect and the MVP Studio internships will help you to get into knowing everything like tools and technology – whatever new tools and technology will come – and it help you like to getting into that hands-on experience and so I definitely recommend that.
What would you like to suggest to others?
Industry Connect will guide you but everything you need to cover you need to do that, you need to work hard on that. They will guide you, then you have to follow that rule and you have to work on that with a positive attitude.
Thank you Anjali and good luck with your new job as a junior test analyst!
