I’m Mia and I am sharing my journey through this blog as I was frustrated by the job-hunting process. This content has been created for those who are struggling with their job hunt and will give you a different perspective through the eyes of HR.

I graduated with a master’s degree.

I did my work.

I achieved excellent grades in AUT.

Maybe you can relate.

Then I went to look for a job after graduation. I wasn’t getting any interviews in the first month, then I was thinking about what was wrong with me, because I did what I was supposed to do.

So, what’s going on here?

The fact of the matter is, I just didn’t know how to write a resume.

I got my first interview! It was a marketing coordinator role at Samsung in Auckland.

In fact, I got more interviews in different roles at companies like Datacom, AUT, Private Flight Global Limited and Industry-Connect.

Now with all the experience and knowledge I gained, I know how these companies hire potential employees.

With this knowledge I will share with you, how to get an interview without any help from others and we’ll load up our ‘career weapons’ and take aim.
