Another success story from Industry Connect, this time it’s Gita who has just landed a job as an automation test analyst.
We sat down with her to ask about her time with us and if she has any advice for others in her situation.
First off, congratulations Gita! How did you feel when you got the job?
The feeling is really nice and I feel like I’m flying in the sky. It’s like my long dream comes true, I’m so happy and I’m happy with the MVP studio and Industry Connect – all the people around here, they supported me a lot to grow my automation skills and technical skills, and soft skills as well, so I’m so happy today that I finally achieved my goal!
What was your background before joining us?
I did my bachelor’s in engineering in electronics telecommunication as a specialization and after I finished my studies my bachelor degree I started my career in an IT company as a software tester and I got a golden opportunity to work with different companies like Deloitte and Disney, so that’s all about my IT career before I came to New Zealand.
How did we help you get a job as an automation test analyst?
I came to New Zealand in 2017, and as soon as I reached New Zealand I started my job searching process. It was very difficult to get a job here because of the lack of New Zealand experience. I came to know about this because most of the company recruitment agencies, they used to say “Even though you have very good experience back in India, you don’t have any New Zealand experience.”
So it was a struggle trying to find work. While searching for a job I found about MVP studio and Industry Connect through social media like Facebook.
I was so happy, I felt, yeah, this is a platform where I can get a good opportunity to enhance my skills, whatever skills I have right now. I can enhance my skills and it’s a very good way that MVP provides training about the automation test analyst, and also provides real-time
project experience which is very beneficial for everyone to land a new job.
