We’ve got another success story from Industry Connect! This time it’s Jasper who has just secured a full-time software developer position after his internship with AimyPlus. We caught up with him before he headed off to pastures new to ask him about his time with us.
First off, congratulations on your new job! You’re so young to get a full-time software developer position.

So you just graduated from AUT, how did you find out about Industry Connect?
I found out about Industry Connect through my friend who worked here. He learned a lot here and you also found him a job as well, so that’s why I came here.
And you’ve been with Amy now for about six months now which is awesome. I know the dev team here is going to miss you a lot. You’ve created a cool relationship with a bunch of them so you’ll take that on to your career.

How do you think Industry Connect helped you sort of hone your skills and find your dream job?
Industry Connect actually provided training to us first, and then we learned C#, CI and JavaScript. This this is actually how we prepared for the AimyPlus internship. And working on a live project was a lot of experience.
So you’re moving on to your next job do you know exactly what you’re going to be doing there?
In my new software developer position I will be doing a lot of the same stuff we did at Aimy, so I’m looking forward to that.
