Graduating from a Software Developer Job Ready Programme is no small feat and definitely an accomplishment worth celebrating.
One of our participants Leo Zhou was able to use the skills he learnt in the Software Developer Job Ready Programme to transition into a Software Developer role.
We caught up with him before he started his new job to ask about his time with Industry Connect and MVP Studio.
How was your journey at Industry Connect?
The journey with Industry Connect really builds your confidence for the job interview. The guidance and support, I know I can get from you all the time and I already have got all the projects experience of MVP.
Most importantly, I am confident to answer all the questions in the interview.
Of course, sometimes I encounter questions that I don’t know, but I do know how to handle them, how to answer them correctly.
And because of your suggestions, I knew what I should learn and what I should pay attention to. One of the most important things this journey has brought me is confidence.
Would you recommend Industry Connect to everyone?
Yes, absolutely.
Because of the internship with MVP Studio, we can jump into the real project, gain some experience, and understand how local companies work on a project, which is very important.
Also, I get supported by different sessions here, like helping me modify my CV and prepare all interview questions.
Lastly, the English at work session has improved my English a lot, that’s very important.
