A job as a junior test analyst is a dream come true for many young programmers, and thanks fully, after joining Industry Connect, Pallavi’s dream is now a reality!
Before she started her new career, we caught up with her to ask about her time with us.
Congratulations Pallavi! Tell us, what was your background before joining Industry Connect?
Well, before joining Industry Connect, I was working as a recreational coordinator in the early childhood sector. I worked there for more than two years but there was some point I had to move on and I started looking my career in IT as my husband and my all friends they are in it. I explored it and found Industry Connect!
Industry Connect gave me the right path which I was looking for, for people that don’t have any knowledge of IT.
And what do you think of Industry Connect‘s initiative?
It’s a very good platform to join and actually provides hands-on experience with new technologies and new tools. And you get local experience as well. I would definitely like to recommend to the people who are like new to this career and who want to excel their skills to definitely join Industry Connect.
How was your journey at Industry Connect?
The sessions that are provided by MVP Studio – they were very like insightful. Tactic chats provided by Daniel were really helpful for me because I could discuss my task issues and I was able to solve that.
I participated in global and regional scrum meetings as well, and it has been very important for me to participate in all the meetings and attend all the sessions.
I would also like to acknowledge that conversational partners we get assigned by Aadhith, English at work and employability sessions – they were all very advantageous for me as I built my confidence and I got to know people from a different background and how we can share ideas and values with each other.
Do you have any advice for people who will join Industry Connect?
If you are doing your training, try to attend all the sessions – never miss any sessions. And go for the recording as well, like do your extra research, that will very beneficial for you when you join MVP Studio and you work on your task, that will give you an extra help, if you do the research at that time.
Would you recommend Industry Connect to everyone?
Oh yes, I strongly recommend Industry Connect to everyone who is looking for a new career and those in existing IT jobs, they are going to upgrade their skills.
