What would you say to people who are struggling to get their first job in the IT industry?
Well, for me my background status not as a data analyst when I started my career. So it’s all about a plan of doing things, how we can achieve it.
When I joined Industry connect there’s the six months of initial coaching, which taught me about the latest technology which I wasn’t into. I got a lot of experience about how to use these tools and everything by the mentors and it was really helpful.
Then I did my internship with MVP which was commercial experience, which means local experience. I think that was the beginning of my journey as a data analyst.
So it was a step by step you know – the latest technologies and the MVP community helping me how and where to use this technology, because the technology available is very good, and which is the right type to use, so that was really helpful for me.
I feel like I connected with more people, you know, I made a strong LinkedIn Profile, that speaks a lot. I learned to always be enthusiastic to learn new things, new technologies which we are not using.
Do that and I’m sure that you can achieve anything. It’s all about proper training and your eagerness to do the work.

Would you recommend Industry Connect to everyone?
Yes, definitely. You know the thing about Industry Connect is they give priorities to the latest technologies.
Then I think of an idea about what to do, what does the data analyst show and everything.
And the next stage of internship, which is where you will learn the local experience which is very important , it matters a lot.
So, I recommend to all my friends who were trying to get a job, who have experience back in their home country.
I do recommend Industry Connect to everyone, it is a really good crack into the New Zealand market.
